It is a thing of beauty, I think you'll agree.
Thing is that they have now gone and changed the regulations for the rallys we want to enter and any new car that goes to scrutineering after start of 2009 has to comply to them. We have faced the fact that even with our abilities we don't have hope that it'll be ready before then, (and in 2012 it would have to comply anyway)
You see you can no longer stick what you like on as long as its strong and safe, it has to be 'like the original intended method of suspending the car' or 'a modification made by the manufactureer at the time for competition purposes' And since Opel and Vauxhall weren't as clever as the Jehu's and didn't think that independant rear suspension was the way to go, it now means that the ever adventurous Jehu's aren't allowed to either!
What does this mean I hear you cry!
Is the Kadett just gonna shuffle its bum round the stages?
Well no, cos that would slow us down.
Is the kadett going to get its old rear axle back?
Well no cos we would snap it like a twig, even with only a little engine up front!
Lets just say we have something fairly beefy on its way, typically covered in rust and needing some attention, not to mention a couple of additional parts, but good it will be and it will still fill the arches up nicely!
It of course means the sierra rear sus is now surplus to requirements and since neither of the Jehu's have any intention of buying a sierra, it'll be sold to make space for other stuff.
