A shiny new shell

So The Jehu boys went for a little trip. Once they arrived at their destination they sat around and chatted about all the usual stuff about the current plans and the next thing that needs doing. That kind of stuff. A little wile later our friend John arrived towing a trailer. This didn't seem like a coincidence thought the boys.
20 minutes later the boys had managed to lift a brand new 40 year old 1967 mk1 MGB GT shell onto the trailer. A little while while later the merry band arrived at garage number 2. A little while later the 3 boys had managed to get the shell back on the trolley which kindly came free with the shell. Thanks to Cas for her able assistance in moving the trolley around for us. And then we wheeled it into the garage, to look a little closer.

Ok so we should really fill you in on the details. Jehu 2 has just bought a MGB GT. More accurately, he as bought 2. 1 dead car with great mechanicals and tuned engine, and a mint shell. The plan is to remove everything that can be removed from the car, and then in turn hang it on the shell. Obviously there is slightly more in it than that, but Jehu doesnt like to get burdened with details!
It all came (and is coming from a nice chap called Russell who has owned the car for 25ish years, and its lived in a garage for the last 23. The plan was always to restore it, and now the Jehu's get to do it. Awesome!
Just need to get the donor car into Huddersfield now and we are all go.
Thanks again to John for all his help.

  1. Well, in the absence of other comments, I'd like to say that I think the shiny new shell is beautiful, and that I look forward to many weekends of watching films and eating ice-cream whilst my husband slaves over it! ...and one day, in about 10years, to cruising on country roads on a sunny day...

Thanks in advance to the guys who have offered to give a home to the 'donor' car. We really appreciate it!
