So there it was, almost early in the morning Jehu went to collect the trailer from our friend Paul (co-owner and looker-afterer of the trailer) Paul was also kind enough to lend his car for towing duties.
Dave and Paul S helped load the MG and off we traveled a couple of miles to the new home.

The drive way was pretty narrow, but with a bit of jigery-pokery and Trevor and Paul Sym making sure Jehu didn't take out the gate posts we managed to get the trailer on the drive. This allowed traffic to flow on the street again, and the stopped motorists were very grateful Jehu hadn't made a massive pigs ear of it and blocked the street for any longer than he did.

Initially Jehu was low on helpers but, Paul after a few phone calls had rounded up some very willing people at short notice, this made life very easy for Jehu who largely managed to just watch and direct as the MG was backed off the trailer. At this stage it is worth reminding all avid Jehu followers that the MG has no working brakes, since they had seized on the rear drums when he aquired it.
Now the new home of the MG is down a very steep slope, which was a problem, but of course Jehu is an ingenious sort. So the trailer was quickly taken off the drive, and then the tow car was brought back on, a handy tow rope was attached, and then the MG was lowered gently down. So technically the MG was towing the tow car!

And there we have it, the MG sat cosily n its new kennel, ready for the stripping to commence. Best get that shell ready then!
Thanks again to Paul, Dave, Paul, Paul, Trevor, Jenny, Michelle, and mascot Amy, not forgetting Jackie for the tea!
